T38 is a transitional series using a 38 mm cross-kit pin diameter \u2014 larger than T7N’s 35 mm, different from T8’s 35×106.5 mm. It is specified where T7N is insufficient and T8 is mechanically oversized. T38 is critical for specific forage harvester and large baler models that cannot accept either adjacent series. T38 is the least-stocked series in the agricultural driveline aftermarket, creating disproportionate downtime costs when a T38-equipped implement fails in the field. The 38 mm pin diameter is unique to T38 and cannot be substituted by T7N or T8 cross kits. In Brazil, T38 equipment is concentrated in the high-output forage operations of Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina, where European-specification forage harvesters dominate commercial silage production.<\/p>\n
