S38 is to S8 what T7N is to T7 \u2014 the same torque class and cross-kit dimensions (35×94 mm), but a different tube outer diameter for implement housings that cannot accept the standard tube OD. S38 and S8 are not interchangeable at the implement housing despite sharing the same cross-kit specifications. Always confirm whether the implement manual specifies S8 or S38 before ordering \u2014 the part numbers look similar but the tube profiles are mechanically distinct.<\/p>\n

For distributors and service workshops, S38 and S8 cross kits are interchangeable \u2014 the same 35×94 mm cross kit (code 8.01) fits both shaft series. This simplifies cross-kit inventory: stocking one part number covers both S8 and S38 cross-kit replacements. The tube and yoke assemblies are not interchangeable \u2014 these are ordered by series.<\/p>\n

S38 is less commonly stocked than S8 due to its narrower OEM specification. Standard stock availability is 7\u201314 days; confirmation of stock is recommended before committing to a delivery schedule.
