Series 7 Z21 covers 55\u201380 hp European tractors with the 21-spline stub interface, driving forage harvesters and large mower-conditioners that use the 30.2\u00d7106.5 mm cross-kit class. The 21-spline bore is a direct alternative to Z6 at the same cross-kit series \u2014 the tractor PTO stub is the only determinant of whether Z6 or Z21 is required.<\/p>\n

The 1-3\/8″ 21-spline bore is identified by counting 21 ridges on the yoke bore interior. Measuring the bore outer diameter (34.9 mm) alone will not distinguish Z21 from Z6 \u2014 both share the same outer diameter. Counting the splines is the definitive identification method. The Z21 stub on the tractor produces a tighter, smoother spline engagement than the Z6 due to the higher spline count.<\/p>\n
