Product Description
L3 introduces the 27 mm cross-kit pin diameter, shared with L4 — the same bearing family used in T Series T3 and T4. This commonality simplifies cross-kit stocking for workshops running mixed L and T Series fleets: the 27 mm pin diameter workshop tooling (circlip pliers, press fit) applies to L3, L4, T3, and T4. However, journal length is different (70 mm for L3 vs 74.6 mm for L4 and 70 mm for T3) — order cross kits by series code.
The lemon tube in L3 delivers 370 Nm at 540 rpm within a tube outer diameter that remains compatible with compact baler and tiller input housings that cannot accept the equivalent T3 triangular tube. This is L3’s key commercial differentiator: it provides the torque of T3 with the lemon tube geometry required by specific European compact baler OEMs and vineyard tiller manufacturers.

Lemon Tube Profile — Compact OD
The lemon (elliptical) tube profile reduces the outer diameter of the telescoping assembly relative to triangular-tube T Series at the same torque class. Fits European OEM implement input housings that exclude triangular tube geometry.
Sealed Cross-Kit Bearings — IP67
Double-lip sealed needle-roller bearing cups, factory-filled with EP2 lithium complex grease. Grease nipple accessible with shield fitted. Designed for 350+ hours between maintenance interventions in normal field conditions.
CE Safety Shield — Standard
CE-marked UV-stabilised HDPE bellows guard. Yellow for field visibility. Spring-clip anchors and chain points at both ends. OECD Code 4 compliant. Supplied as standard on every L Series unit.
Forged 20CrMnTi Steel Yokes
Drop-forged chromium-manganese-titanium alloy steel, normalised and induction-hardened at bearing seat journals. Designed for high peak-load applications without premature bearing seat wear.
All Spline Standards Available
1-3/8 inch 6-spline (ISO 500 Z6), 1-3/4 inch 20-spline (Z20), and 1-3/8 inch 21-spline (Z21). Clamp yoke and push-pin locking both available. Both ends specified independently at order.

Mid-Range Rotary Tillers
1.4–1.6 m tillers on 22–32 hp compact and sub-compact tractors. The 27×70 mm cross kit handles the higher slug loads in stony and compacted soils that cause premature L2 failure.
Compact Round Balers
Small-chamber round balers on tractors in the 25–32 hp class. L3 absorbs the bale-eject peak (up to 640 Nm) without cross-kit displacement while remaining within the lemon tube housing envelope.
Post Hole Augers
PTO-driven auger drives where high-inertia start and stall loads are common. The L3 640 Nm peak handles auger engagement in rocky soils better than the L2 without moving to a triangular-tube T Series.
Installation and Maintenance
Attach safety chain to a fixed non-rotating point on both tractor and implement
Confirm Torque Class
Match implement demand (Nm) against the table above. Add 20% margin. Select the lowest L Series that meets the adjusted figure.
Adjust Working Length
Measure coupling centre distance with implement attached. Verify 50 mm min tube overlap at full extension, 80 mm at full compression.
Engage Yoke Connections
Push-pin yoke: engage at tractor PTO stub and confirm audible click and positive retention. Clamp yoke: torque to manufacturer specification.
Anchor Safety Chains
Connect tractor-side chain to guard or tractor frame; implement-side chain to implement body. Verify taut with implement at working level.
Grease Before First Use
Apply EP2 lithium complex NLGI 2 grease (2–3 pumps) to both cross-kit nipples. Service every 8 hours. Reduce to 4 hours in wet or abrasive conditions.
