Product Description
T3 marks the entry into mid-range with the cross kit stepping to a 27 mm pin diameter. This is the most commonly specified series for mid-size compact tractors operating rotary mowers in South America. The 27×70 mm cross kit provides a substantial torque jump over T2, making T3 the minimum safe choice for any implement with a flywheel or significant inertia mass. The T3 PTO Drive Shaft is the threshold series where quality differentiation becomes immediately visible in field operation. Inferior market shafts in the T3 class commonly fail at the cross-kit bearing cups within one season of rotary mowing. Ever-Power Drive Line T3 uses shot-blasted and normalised yoke forgings with induction-hardened bearing seats at HRC 28–32, preventing the cup-spinning failure mode endemic in lower-specification T3 shafts. The 27 mm pin diameter increase from T2’s 23.8 mm significantly reduces stress at the needle-roller contact point, the primary fatigue failure location under high-cycle loading.
In South America, T3 is the most commonly specified series for small round baler replacement shafts. When pairing with a torque limiter or overrunning clutch, always select the clutch rated to the same series or higher. A T3-rated overrunning clutch on a T2 shaft creates a failure point at the shaft rather than the clutch. The T3 cross kit (3.01, 27×70 mm) is available as a standalone replacement and should be inspected at the start of each season on high-cycle implements. Rotary Mowers
High-cycle mowing for 20–35 hp tractors. T3 is the minimum recommended series for 1.5 m rotary cutters where flywheel inertia mass is present.
Row-Crop Planters
Multi-row planting drive at low speed with moderate sustained torque. T3 handles start-up inertia from disc coulters in heavy soil conditions.

Entry-level round baler drive. Always pair T3 with an overrunning clutch to prevent back-drive damage during bale ejection.
Installation and Maintenance
Attach safety chain to a fixed non-rotating point on both tractor and implement
Torque and Series Selection
Identify PTO rated torque from tractor manual. Select T Series where rated Nm exceeds PTO torque by 20% or more.
Shaft Length Adjustment
With implement at full height: verify 50 mm min tube overlap. At lowest position: verify 80 mm overlap. Cut to length once confirmed.
Yoke Attachment Procedure
Align spline and slide yoke to full engagement until push-pin locks. Test retention by pulling toward tractor. Bolt-clamp: torque to spec.
Safety Chain Connection
Route chain from each shield end bracket to a fixed, non-rotating point. Prevent shield rotation without loading chain during lift.
Lubrication Schedule
Pre-grease all cross-kit nipples with EP2 before operation. 8-hour regrease intervals normal use; halve in sandy or waterlogged soils.
