Product Description

T38 is a transitional series using a 38 mm cross-kit pin diameter — larger than T7N’s 35 mm, different from T8’s 35×106.5 mm. It is specified where T7N is insufficient and T8 is mechanically oversized. T38 is critical for specific forage harvester and large baler models that cannot accept either adjacent series. T38 is the least-stocked series in the agricultural driveline aftermarket, creating disproportionate downtime costs when a T38-equipped implement fails in the field. The 38 mm pin diameter is unique to T38 and cannot be substituted by T7N or T8 cross kits. In Brazil, T38 equipment is concentrated in the high-output forage operations of Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina, where European-specification forage harvesters dominate commercial silage production.

Attach safety chain to a fixed non-rotating point on both tractor and implement

Match Series to Application

From the torque table, confirm the rated Nm at your operating RPM comfortably exceeds implement load. Add 20% safety factor.

Set Compressed and Extended Length

Raise and lower implement through full range. Inner tube must engage outer by 50 mm min at extension, 80 mm min at compression.

Connect Yoke to PTO Stub

Push splined yoke over PTO stub until push-pin snaps into groove. Withdraw slightly to confirm. Install implement-end yoke the same way.

Fix Safety Shield Chains

Fasten tractor-end chain to a rigid tractor component. Fasten implement-end chain to implement frame. Verify taut with implement level.

Grease Cross Kits Before Use

Apply 2–3 pumps EP2 per nipple. Reapply every 8 hours normal conditions. Wipe excess from shield exterior after greasing.
