Overview
Product Description
G7 uses the extended-journal 30.2×106.5 mm cross kit — the same bearing family as S7 — but in wide-angle CV joint configuration. The 14.5 mm journal extension over G6 increases bearing load distribution and raises continuous torque from 830 Nm (G6) to 970 Nm while maintaining the same 80-degree CV joint operating angle. G7 is the correct specification for disc mower-conditioner applications in the 65–80 hp class where G6 is at or near its torque limit during peak mowing loads.
The 30.2 mm pin diameter workshop tooling applies to G7 alongside G5, G6, T5, T6, T7, L5, and L6 — the same pressing tool and snap-ring pliers set serves all of them. Journal length differs between models within this family, so cross kits must be ordered by series code. G7 cross kit (30.2×106.5 mm) is identical to S7 — distributors stocking both G7 and S7 can use one cross-kit part number for both.
For implement OEMs specifying G7 as the standard shaft on 65–80 hp mower-conditioner lines, blanket supply agreements with fixed lead times and volume pricing are available from Ever-Power Drive Line. Contattaci with annual volume requirements.

Assembly Diagram — Component Reference
Component 1 is the CV wide angle joint — the key G Series differentiator from T/L/S Series
☈ Component 1: CV Wide Angle Joint
The CV (constant velocity) joint replaces the standard cross joint at the tractor end. It uses a ball-and-socket mechanism to deliver perfectly smooth, constant-velocity output at angles up to 80 degrees — eliminating the speed fluctuation that standard cardan joints produce above 6 degrees.

Key Features
80° Wide Angle CV Joint
The G Series CV joint allows operation at angles up to 80 degrees at the tractor end — more than three times the 25-degree limit of standard T, L, and S Series cardan joints. This enables G Series shafts in front-mounted implement drives, close-coupled mounts, and any application where the shaft angle regularly exceeds the standard cardan limit.
Constant Velocity Output
Standard cardan joints produce a sinusoidal speed variation at the output — the output shaft rotates faster then slower with each revolution, proportional to the operating angle. The G Series CV joint eliminates this variation, delivering perfectly constant-velocity output at any angle up to 80 degrees. This prevents vibration and eliminates implement gearbox acceleration fatigue.
Sealed Cross-Kit Bearings — IP67
Double-lip sealed needle-roller cross-kit bearing cups at the implement end, factory-filled with EP2 lithium complex grease. Grease nipple accessible with shield in place. Rated for 350+ hours between maintenance interventions under normal field conditions.
CE Safety Shield — Standard
CE-marked UV-stabilised HDPE bellows guard. CV joint end fitted with a flexible boot that accommodates the full 80-degree joint movement while protecting the CV joint grease cavity from contamination. OECD Code 4 compliant. Included as standard with every G Series unit.
Forged 20CrMnTi Steel Yokes
Drop-forged chromium-manganese-titanium alloy steel yokes, normalised and induction-hardened at bearing seat journals. The high-angle CV joint body is machined from the same alloy to the same surface hardness specification.
CE + ISO Certification Package
CE Declaration of Conformity, ISO 9001:2015, TS/16949 process certificate, LGPD compliance documentation. SGS third-party batch inspection available on contract orders.
Typical Applications
G Series CV joint — 55–80 hp tractor class at operating angles up to 80°
Large Disc Mower-Conditioners — 65–80 hp
High-output disc mower-conditioners on 65–80 hp tractors where the extended-journal G7 cross kit is specified for improved bearing life under sustained high-angle mowing duty cycles.
Front-Mount Rotary Rakes — Wide Working Width
Wide-working-width rotary rakes on 60–80 hp tractors mounted close to the tractor, requiring PTO operation at angles that standard T7 cardan joints cannot sustain without vibration.
Industrial Wide-Angle PTO Applications
Industrial and utility applications requiring constant-velocity PTO drive at high angles — wood chipper feeds, generator drives, and hydraulic pump systems on compact utility vehicles where the shaft angle varies significantly during operation.
Installation and Maintenance
Inspect the CV joint boot and anchor safety chains at both ends before first use
Confirm Torque Class
Calculate implement torque demand + 20% margin. Select the lowest G Series that meets the adjusted Nm figure.
Verify Operating Angle
Measure the maximum shaft angle at the tractor end at all implement positions. G Series handles up to 80° at the CV end; 25° at the implement cardan end.
Adjust Working Length
Verify 50 mm tube overlap at max implement height; 80 mm engagement at minimum. Tubes must not bottom out.
Inspect CV Joint Boot
Before first use, confirm the CV boot is correctly seated and both clamps are tight. A loose boot causes immediate CV joint contamination.
Anchor Safety Chains and Engage
Connect safety chains to non-rotating points. Engage PTO at low throttle first to verify smooth CV joint operation before running at full speed.
Frequently Asked Questions
- —Yes — G7 and S7 share the identical 30.2×106.5 mm cross kit
- —One cross-kit part number covers both G7 and S7 replacements
- —The CV joint assembly at the tractor end is G7-specific — not shared with S7
- —CV joint end: 80 degrees maximum operating angle
- —Standard cardan end (implement side): 25 degrees maximum continuous
- —Total system angle depends on implement geometry — always verify both ends are within their respective limits
- —G7 is required when the implement continuous torque demand exceeds 830 Nm (G6 continuous rating)
- —Also when the implement manufacturer specifies the 30.2×106.5 mm cross kit (G7/S7 class)
- —If G6 is failing prematurely at the cross kit, step up to G7 — do not increase greasing frequency as the primary fix
- —Double CV joint (CV at both tractor and implement ends) is available as an OEM option
- —Double CV allows up to 80 degrees at both ends simultaneously
- —MOQ 20 pieces for double-CV configurations; lead time 25–30 days
- —Standard stock G7 has CV at tractor end and standard cardan at implement end
- —CE Declaration of Conformity per EU Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC
- —ISO 9001:2015 and TS/16949 certificates — included with every batch
- —SGS third-party inspection available for contract orders
- —LGPD data handling compliance documentation included with commercial invoice
