Product Description
T2 is the first step up from T1, covering 15–25 hp compact tractors. The cross kit 2.01 (23.8×61.3 mm) provides 29% more torque than T1 while remaining compact for narrow-track orchard and vineyard tractors. The T2 PTO Drive Shaft is widely used in the Brazilian and Argentine small-farm market where compact utility tractors dominate. Disc mowers, small wood chippers, centrifugal slurry pumps, and light-duty planters all fall within the T2 torque envelope. Buyers operating multiple implements on the same tractor should verify the T2 rating covers the highest-demand implement in the fleet. Cross-kit failure caused by intermittent use of an oversized implement on an undersized shaft is the most common failure mode in mixed-implement compact tractor operations.
Irrigation pump drive applications place unique demands on the PTO shaft: unlike implement applications with variable shaft angle, a pump drive runs at a fixed angle for hours at a time, which prevents the self-lubricating effect of articulation. The sealed IP67 cross-kit specification is therefore particularly important for pump duty, and has been validated in year-round irrigation service without premature cross-kit failure. Installation and Maintenance
Attach safety chain to a fixed non-rotating point on both tractor and implement
Select the Correct Series
Use the torque table to select the series rated above your PTO output by at least 20%. Verify cross-kit size matches yoke seats.
Check Working Lengths
Connect implement and raise to max height. Inner tube must overlap outer by 50 mm min. Lower: check 80 mm engagement remains.
Install Yoke Connections
Push splined yoke fully onto tractor PTO; push-pin clicks into groove. Pull rearward to confirm retention. Repeat at implement end.
Attach Shield Retention Chains
Connect both shield-end chains to fixed points on tractor and implement. Taut enough to prevent rotation, with slack for movement.
Initial and Periodic Greasing
2–3 pumps EP2 per cross-kit nipple at installation. Regrease every 8 hours; every 4 hours in wet or abrasive conditions.
