Product Description
L6 is the highest-torque model in the standard lemon tube series that shares the 30.2 mm cross-kit pin diameter with L5. The journal extension from 80 mm (L5) to 92 mm (L6) increases the bearing load distribution area and raises continuous torque from 590 Nm to 800 Nm at 540 rpm. For equipment specifiers, L6 is the last lemon tube option before stepping up to the wider 35 mm pin diameter of L32.
L6 is specified by several major European round baler and mower-conditioner OEMs as the standard shaft for their 55–70 hp models. These implement housings are designed for the lemon tube outer diameter and will not accommodate the equivalent T6 triangular tube without modification. If your implement manual or OEM parts book specifies series L6, do not substitute T6 — the tube outer diameters are not compatible at the implement input housing.

Lemon Tube Profile — Compact OD
The lemon (elliptical) tube profile reduces the outer diameter of the telescoping assembly relative to triangular-tube T Series at the same torque class. Fits European OEM implement input housings that exclude triangular tube geometry.
Sealed Cross-Kit Bearings — IP67
Double-lip sealed needle-roller bearing cups, factory-filled with EP2 lithium complex grease. Grease nipple accessible with shield fitted. Designed for 350+ hours between maintenance interventions in normal field conditions.
CE Safety Shield — Standard
CE-marked UV-stabilised HDPE bellows guard. Yellow for field visibility. Spring-clip anchors and chain points at both ends. OECD Code 4 compliant. Supplied as standard on every L Series unit.
Forged 20CrMnTi Steel Yokes
Drop-forged chromium-manganese-titanium alloy steel, normalised and induction-hardened at bearing seat journals. Designed for high peak-load applications without premature bearing seat wear.
All Spline Standards Available
1-3/8 inch 6-spline (ISO 500 Z6), 1-3/4 inch 20-spline (Z20), and 1-3/8 inch 21-spline (Z21). Clamp yoke and push-pin locking both available. Both ends specified independently at order.

Installation and Maintenance
Attach safety chain to a fixed non-rotating point on both tractor and implement
Confirm Torque Class
Match implement demand (Nm) against the table above. Add 20% margin. Select the lowest L Series that meets the adjusted figure.
Adjust Working Length
Measure coupling centre distance with implement attached. Verify 50 mm min tube overlap at full extension, 80 mm at full compression.
Engage Yoke Connections
Push-pin yoke: engage at tractor PTO stub and confirm audible click and positive retention. Clamp yoke: torque to manufacturer specification.
Anchor Safety Chains
Connect tractor-side chain to guard or tractor frame; implement-side chain to implement body. Verify taut with implement at working level.
Grease Before First Use
Apply EP2 lithium complex NLGI 2 grease (2–3 pumps) to both cross-kit nipples. Service every 8 hours. Reduce to 4 hours in wet or abrasive conditions.
