L5 is the lemon-tube equivalent of the T5 — same 30.2×80 mm cross kit, same 35 kW / 590 Nm at 540 rpm rating, but with the narrower lemon tube outer diameter that fits a range of European compact baler and mower-conditioner input housings where the T5 triangular tube creates interference. For equipment specifiers comparing L Series to T Series at this torque class, the selection criterion is purely the implement housing geometry: lemon tube for European OEM housings, triangular tube for generic South American applications.
The 30.2 mm cross-kit pin diameter in L5 is shared with L6 — the same bearing cup and needle roller dimensions apply across both series, though journal lengths differ (80 mm for L5, 92 mm for L6). This commonality reduces cross-kit inventory requirements for distributors stocking both models. Workshop tooling for 30.2 mm cross-kit removal and installation applies to L5, L6, T5, T6, and T7.

Lemon Tube Profile — Compact OD
The lemon (elliptical) tube profile reduces the outer diameter of the telescoping assembly relative to triangular-tube T Series at the same torque class. Fits European OEM implement input housings that exclude triangular tube geometry.
Sealed Cross-Kit Bearings — IP67
Double-lip sealed needle-roller bearing cups, factory-filled with EP2 lithium complex grease. Grease nipple accessible with shield fitted. Designed for 350+ hours between maintenance interventions in normal field conditions.
CE Safety Shield — Standard
CE-marked UV-stabilised HDPE bellows guard. Yellow for field visibility. Spring-clip anchors and chain points at both ends. OECD Code 4 compliant. Supplied as standard on every L Series unit.
Forged 20CrMnTi Steel Yokes
Drop-forged chromium-manganese-titanium alloy steel, normalised and induction-hardened at bearing seat journals. Designed for high peak-load applications without premature bearing seat wear.

Installation and Maintenance
Attach safety chain to a fixed non-rotating point on both tractor and implement
Confirm Torque Class
Match implement demand (Nm) against the table above. Add 20% margin. Select the lowest L Series that meets the adjusted figure.
Adjust Working Length
Measure coupling centre distance with implement attached. Verify 50 mm min tube overlap at full extension, 80 mm at full compression.
Engage Yoke Connections
Push-pin yoke: engage at tractor PTO stub and confirm audible click and positive retention. Clamp yoke: torque to manufacturer specification.
Anchor Safety Chains
Connect tractor-side chain to guard or tractor frame; implement-side chain to implement body. Verify taut with implement at working level.
Grease Before First Use
Apply EP2 lithium complex NLGI 2 grease (2–3 pumps) to both cross-kit nipples. Service every 8 hours. Reduce to 4 hours in wet or abrasive conditions.
