Product Description

Series 7 Quick Release Splined Yoke connects the Z6 tractor PTO stub to Series 7 drive shafts (T7, S7, G7) on 55–80 hp tractors driving forage harvesters, large mower-conditioners, and heavy industrial implements. The 30.2×106.5 mm cross-kit seat is the extended-journal version within the 30.2 mm pin diameter family — the same pressing tooling that serves Series 5 and 6 also covers Series 7 at this pin diameter.

At Series 7, the yoke body dimensions increase significantly from Series 6. The wider cross-kit journal requires deeper yoke ears, and the overall yoke weight increases proportionally. The push-pin mechanism at Series 7 is a dual-pin design on some configurations — two push-pins provide positive retention under the higher torque and vibration levels of 60–80 hp harvester applications. Confirm whether single or dual pin is specified when ordering.

Series 7 Z6 is less commonly held in general farm store stock than Series 4–6. For agricultural parts distributors adding Series 7 to their yoke inventory, contact Ever-Power Drive Line for stock availability and lead time.

Quick Release Mechanism — How It Works

Quick release push-pin mechanism — how the PTO yoke locks onto the PTO stub

The push-pin spring-loads into the PTO stub engagement groove. Press the collar to release.

1

Push Collar Forward

Press the spring-loaded collar toward the yoke body. This retracts the push-pin from its engagement position, freeing the bore to slide onto the PTO stub.

2

Slide Yoke Onto Stub

With collar held forward, push the splined bore fully onto the PTO stub until the yoke is fully seated. The splines must be fully engaged before releasing the collar.

3

Release — Click Confirms Lock

Release the collar. The spring drives the push-pin into the stub engagement groove. An audible click and positive resistance to withdrawal confirms correct locking.

Key Features

Push-Pin Quick Release

Spring-loaded push-pin mechanism allows tool-free connection and disconnection from the PTO stub. Press the collar to retract the pin; release to engage. An audible click confirms positive locking. One-handed operation in field conditions.

1-3/8″ Z6 Spline Bore

Standard 540 rpm agricultural interface — fits all Z6 PTO stubs worldwide. The bore is induction-hardened for resistance to spline wear during frequent engagement and release cycles.

30.2×106.5 mm Cross-Kit Seat

Precision-machined cross-kit bearing cup bores hardened to accept 30 mm pin diameter needle-roller cross-kit cups. Compatible with Series 7 cross kits used across T7 / S7 / G7 drive shaft assemblies.

20CrMnTi Forged Steel Body

Drop-forged chromium-manganese-titanium alloy steel yoke body, normalised and induction-hardened at the bearing seat bores. Phosphate surface coating provides corrosion resistance in outdoor agricultural conditions. Designed for long-term field service life.

Retention Spring and Collar

Heavy-duty retention spring loaded in the push-pin bore maintains positive engagement under PTO operating vibration. The collar provides a reliable surface for one-handed release in field gloves. Spring tension is calibrated for the series torque class.

CE Certified — LGPD Ready

CE Declaration of Conformity and ISO 9001:2015 documentation included with every shipment. LGPD data handling compliance for Brazil import submissions. SGS third-party inspection available for contract orders.

Typical Applications

Series 7 Quick Release PTO Yoke Z6 — agricultural application

Series 7 Z6 yoke — tractor-end connection for 55–80 hp implements

Forage Harvesters — 55–80 hp

Series 7 Z6 is the standard tractor-end yoke for pull-type forage harvesters on 60–80 hp tractors. The extended 30.2×106.5 mm cross-kit journal delivers the additional bearing capacity required for sustained harvester flywheel and feed roller drive.

Large Disc Mower-Conditioners

High-output disc mower-conditioners on 65–80 hp tractors where the Series 6 cross-kit is at its torque limit during peak mowing loads. Series 7 Z6 provides the step-up capacity without changing the spline interface.

Industrial PTO Applications

Heavy-duty industrial PTO applications on 60–80 hp power units where the 30.2×106.5 mm cross-kit class is required and quick-release splined connection is preferred over bolt-clamp for maintenance access.

Installation Procedure

1

Verify Series and Spline

Confirm your PTO shaft is Series 7 (30.2×106.5 mm cross kit) and your tractor PTO stub is Z6 (1-3/8″ 6-spline). Count the splines if in doubt.

2

Clean the Stub

Remove any rust, debris, or old lubricant from the tractor PTO stub and the yoke spline bore before installation. A clean, dry spline surface ensures maximum contact area and positive push-pin engagement.

3

Press Collar and Engage

Press the collar toward the yoke body to retract the push-pin. Align the yoke spline bore with the stub splines and push firmly until the yoke is fully seated on the stub.

4

Release and Verify Click

Release the collar. You should hear and feel the push-pin snap into the stub engagement groove. Tug the yoke firmly — it must not slide back without pressing the collar.

5

Anchor Safety Chain

After the shaft is fully connected (both ends), anchor the safety shield chains to fixed, non-rotating points on the tractor and implement. Never operate without safety chains secured.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I identify a Series 7 yoke?
  • Cross-kit seat bore: 30 mm pin diameter, cross dimensions 30.2×106.5
  • Weasler reference 102-00706 or Italian code 1.05.07 confirm Series 7
  • Physically compare yoke ear width to adjacent series — each series is progressively larger
What drive shafts is the Series 7 Z6 yoke compatible with?
  • Compatible with: T7 / S7 / G7 drive shaft assemblies
  • All use the same 30.2×106.5 mm cross-kit seat
  • The splined bore (Z6) is the same across all series — only the cross-kit dimensions change
Can I use this yoke on a 1,000 rpm (Z20) PTO stub?
  • No — Z6 6-spline bore does not engage a Z20 20-spline stub
  • For 1,000 rpm applications, order the Series 7 Z20 version
  • Always confirm PTO stub spline count before ordering
Push pin vs clamp bolt — which should I choose?
  • Quick release push pin: for frequent daily implement changes — standard tractor-end yoke
  • Clamp bolt: for permanent mounting, removed only at scheduled maintenance
  • Both use the same cross-kit seat dimensions
What cross kit does the Series 7 Z6 yoke use?
  • Series 7 cross kit: 30.2×106.5 mm, code 7.01
  • Shared with T7 / S7 / G7 drive shaft assemblies
  • Available individually from the Cross Kit product page
