Product Description
T8 uses a 35×106.5 mm cross kit, delivering 1,240 Nm at 540 rpm and 2,250 Nm peak. Despite using the same 35 mm pin diameter as T7N, the 106.5 mm journal length places T8 in a significantly higher torque class. T8 is widely used by OEM forage machinery manufacturers as the default drive specification for their 100 hp-class equipment. Ever-Power Drive Line has supplied T8 shafts on OEM custom-length basis to implement builders in Parana and Sao Paulo, with drawing approval and first-article inspection as standard process. The 2,250 Nm peak torque means T8 can handle transient forage slug loads without a torque limiter, although a friction limiter is recommended for high-density baling applications.
T8 and T7N use the same 35 mm pin diameter but are completely non-interchangeable at the cross-kit level due to the different journal lengths (106.5 mm vs 94 mm). This is a common source of ordering errors in the South American aftermarket. Always confirm the full cross-kit designation — 8.01 for T8, 7N.01 for T7N — before ordering replacements. Agricultural service workshops in the 80–110 hp tractor segment should have hydraulic press capability rated to at least 5 tonnes for T8 cross-kit replacement. Installation and Maintenance
Attach safety chain to a fixed non-rotating point on both tractor and implement
Confirm Torque Rating
Cross-reference implement power with tractor PTO output in the table above. Select series rated 20% above maximum expected torque.
Adjust to Working Length
Cycle implement through full height range. Verify 50 mm min overlap at full extension, 80 mm at full compression.
Secure Yoke Connections
Engage push-pin yoke at tractor PTO; confirm audible click and positive retention. Bolt-clamp types: torque to manufacturer spec.
Route and Fix Safety Chains
Connect tractor-side chain to guard or frame; implement-side chain to implement body. Verify taut with implement level.
Grease Before First Use
Apply EP2 to both cross-kit nipples before initial operation. Service every 8 hours. Reduce to 4 hours in wet harvesting conditions.
